What got me interested in your career:
Since she was young, Dr. Rodrigiuez had a passion for helping people. Her mother was a pharmacist and raised the family in an allopathic home where medicine was the solution for any aches or pain. Dr.Rodriguez’s dream was to be able to heal people like her mother until she was introduced to the miracles of chiropractic. She was amazed that chiropractic care could heal people without the use of medication. After reading patients testimonies and hearing people talk about the wonders of chiropractic she decided she wanted to pursue this profession. Within the first week of chiropractic school she fell in love with the profession and knew it was her calling.
A little bit about your journey
Dr. Madais Rodriguez was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She did her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. After graduating, she moved to Florida where she pursued a doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. While she was a student there, Dr. Rodriguez served as a Clinical Teaching Assistant at the college’s student clinic, where she mentored other students during the patient care portion of the curriculum.
Dr. Rodriguez enjoys treating people of all ages, from the womb to the tomb. She specializes in prenatal, postnatal and pediatric chiropractic care. She has lots of different techniques in her tool belt, which allows her to better adapt her treatment plan based on the patient’s needs and age. Dr. Rodriguez is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and she is Webster Technique trained, which is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment for pelvic balance during pregnancy.
One of Dr. Rodriguez’s most rewarding experiences as a doctor occurred three months after graduating from Palmer. She took part in a mission trip to serve the Haitian community with a group of chiropractors and chiropractic students. She was able to go to schools, villages, hospitals, nursing homes, and the streets of Haiti treating and helping anyone on her table. It was an enriching experience where she managed to impact the lives of more than 500 Haitians. In her free time, you can find Dr. Rodriguez soaking up the Florida sunshine, walking through farmers markets or relaxing on the beach. She enjoys going on long walks with her husband, or spending time with family and friends.
